Specialising in the production of expanded clay aggregates, ( Leca®  LWA) blocks and all types of wall renders, plasters and floor screeds, it is part of one of Europe's largest building materials companies.

Since the maxit brand replaced the Optiroc name in 2004 it has enabled us to develop our existing portfolio of market-leading products through the introduction into the UK of a yet broader range of products that have been proven throughout Europe, under a consistent identity.

You will find evidence of this already on this site, where you will find details of the revolutionary new airfresh plaster - the first in the world to eliminate odours and volatile organic compounds from the air - and the innovative Alpha Hemi-Hydrate floor screed - a smooth flowing, thick screed that goes down fast and can be walked on in only 16 hours.
