The Leca UK Sales Team Visits A Manufacturing Kiln in Avelar, Portugal

The Leca UK sales team this week had the opportunity to visit one of our manufacturing facilities in Avelar, Portugal—a site that reflects our ongoing commitment to both operational excellence and environmental responsibility.

The factory has recently undergone a transformation to enhance efficiency - incorporating a photovoltaic facility, which converts light into electricity using semiconducting materials - aligning with our focus on renewable manufacturing processes.

During the visit, our UK sales team received a comprehensive tour of the facility, gaining valuable insight and training into the innovative processes that underpin the production of Leca® lightweight aggregate.
